Title:Manager, Clinical Data Management

Description:
The Manager provides advanced solutions and leads a team to ensure consistency of approaches across studies and oversees all the functional activities for multiple studies and programs. This position serves as an expert advisor to ensure high quality and proper conduct. The Manager is responsible for the implementation of assigned projects and services, with optimal efficiency, through effective leadership. The Manager will foster interdisciplinary understanding within the groups and integrate activities with those of other groups and departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages the technical functions and coordinates the activities of a group or small team with a common discrete technical focus or discipline
  • Manages activities across project boundaries when appropriate
  • Integrates activities with those of other groups and departments as needed
  • Defines functional goals and performance requirements for functional group
  • Interacts with subordinates, outside customers, and functional peer groups at various management levels as needed
  • May deliver presentations
  • Helps craft individual goal setting to best pursuit of corporate and department goals
  • Proactively makes recommendations regarding new tools and methods
  • Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Develops functional practices and procedures
  • Ensures compliance of processes with industry standards and maintains consistency across programs
  • Proactively solves complex problems within their function and identifies areas for process improvements
  • Makes hiring decisions
  • Develops and conducts in-house training
  • Keeps abreast of the industry standards
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures
  • Is required to supervise other staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Possesses expert knowledge of applications, databases, processes and tools
  • Has demonstrated competence in a supervisory role and displays organizational leadership potential
  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of applicable regulations
  • Proven record of successfully determining project and departmental priorities to ensure successful completion of objectives
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills with ability to impact and influence the decisions of a team
  • Demonstrates innovation and creativity in aligning technology with and driving line of business objectives

Requirements:

5-10 Years Pharmaceutical or Biotech experience.
